Sweet, romantic, mermaid-style gown. Comfortable stretch lace with a sweetheart neckline and all-over lace flower appliques. Zipper down the back. Gorgeous!
Normal, one-time (3-hour!) wear. This dress has not been professionally cleaned.
Alterations:
- The original size was a 12, the dress was tailored to be a size 10.
No length was removed from the bottom -- the length was left as is from the original.
- Added perfectly-matching gorgeous (and easily removed) straps using the same appliques of the dress with identical-colored fabric. The look of the straps is sheer and flawless, allowing for more comfort and modesty, and support along the chest. (I chose to add these straps because my chest size is 36-DD -- and I needed the extra support!) These can be easily removed for someone else -- There were no alterations to the inset cup of the dress or changes made to the sweetheart neckline.
- I added one more panel of sheer fabric across the front of the dress, making the front stomach less transparent. There is still some transparency (as is visible on samples of the dress).
Condition:
- The dress is not professionally cleaned -- so the bottom of the dress lace applique layer has some dirt on the flowers from one-time, outdoor wear. I have attached photos to show the kind of dirt found around the bottom of the dress.
- One of the inner tulle layers has some tearing on the inside. I have attached photos of the two areas where the tearing is.
- There is some slight wear along the zipper. I have attached photos where the outer layer is slightly worn.
